CATCH IT, BEFORE IT’S GONE!!!!!
Seagram’s… One life, Make It Large!
“You know, Aisha loved this SRK! I mean ewwww, how gay is he?” He shifted his gaze to see a woman busy fidgeting over her mobile phone. She didn’t seem to pay heed to his statement. As usual. He thought to himself. Suddenly, his own statement struck the chords within him. Aisha? Did I say Aisha? Nah, not Aisha! I…
NO! Not Aisha. This time more fierce.
He shifted his gaze again. Only this time he saw a beautiful woman looking back at him. Her long lustrous hair, her sparkly eyes, her electric smile, and her attract He saw Kaaya’s exasperated expression. “I’m sorry.” He mouthed. His gaze came back. He felt something he hadn’t felt lately. “Did I see Aisha? Why Aisha?” He looked back at that direction. It was Kaaya. Still fidgeting with her phone. He returned back. “Why did I see Aisha?”

“He’s not gay! You are Gay!” An innocent girl yelled in full ferocity. “Oh yeah? Let me prove my masculinity to you.” He drew her body close to his and seductively, gave a light peck on her cheek. The redness of her anger turned to pinkness of her blush.

*Present Day*
His thoughts moved from one plane to another. He smiled, reached for the remote and switched the TV off. He loved eyeing the pink blush she used to get. Especially when he used to cause it. He turned to see Kaaya. Snitching her phone away, he pulled her to him. And in the same exact way, he seductively brushed his lips over her cheek. She resisted back. “Amit, grow up! I am really busy with something. Can’t you notice?” He took a few steps back and nodded. “I’m sorry.” He found something missing in him. Something that was calling out just one name. AISHA.

“I managed all of it. On my own.” Aisha had a pissed look on her face. “I’m really sorry. I know I should have helped. I just didn’t find time.” “Time? Really? You had time to chat. You had time to play. But you didn’t have time to perform the tasks we both were entrusted to do?” “I’m sorry Aisha. I really am.” Aisha was not convinced yet. “It’s always the same. The same outcome.” Pause. “You never get it.” “Okay. I am sorry. I don’t know what else to say. What do you want me to do? Beg in front of you?” “You know what? Just forget it! You are never going to realize. I slogged my way to meet the project deadlines. I saved you from the manager. But instead of being grateful, you are being rude to me itself!” Long pause. “The next time you say sorry at least make sure you are one.” She was hurt and yet she left it be. Because she considered him a lot more important than what he could ever consider her. She gave in. Like she always did. And still, she smiled.

*Present day*
He felt something hollow inside. He experienced her pain. He hated it. Especially when he knew he had caused it. He took his mobile and scorched for her pictures. He found one. She was dressed in a yellow summer dress. Her warm, yet awkward pose. Her toothy smile. Her gorgeous self. Many flashbacks entered his mind. The times he had spent with her, strolling the streets with their hands entangled. The innocent manner in which she always made him grin. The innumerable times she saved him in presentations and tasks. The endless times she stood and supported him when he was going through adversity.

“Dude I need you too. Why do I have to always ask for your time?” Aisha mumbled, sobbing through her tears. “I really need to go. There are a lot of people in my room now. Didn’t I tell you? There’s a night out at my place.” “So? Why do I have to constantly understand? Can’t you talk to me for some time? I’ve always been there for you.” “Try to understand. There are a lot of people here. I cannot talk. Please.” “Why do I come last in your priorities?” He was very irritated by then. “Just leave me forever. Please. I am not able to deal with your expectations. Leave me.” There was silence for some time. “Would my absence make any difference?” Aisha asked. He hung up. She kept on calling. He kept on cutting the calls. After some time, he switched off his cell.

*Present day*
3 years passed. And she never came back. NEVER. She left his life forever. Like he had asked her to. After 3 years, he felt that anguish anew. Lingering inside him. In no words he could describe how much he missed her. And still did. Yes, her absence did make a difference. Suddenly there was no one in his life he could pour out to. Suddenly there was no one to stand by him. Suddenly, he felt all alone. Something which she always did. He felt his soul within cracking. He turned to see Kaaya, his wife since more than a year. She was still busy with her phone. “Kaaya, could you please give me some time? I really want to talk to you.” “Amit, I am very busy. Can we talk later?” “It’s a matter of sometime. Can’t you keep your work aside for just a while?” “Amit! There’s a lot of pressure amounting in my head. Grow up. Deal with things on your own.” “Can’t you behave like a wife? Or have you have forgotten you are one?” “Oh I am so sorry! If you are not happy, feel free to leave and go.” His heart skipped a beat. Little tears oozed out from his eyes. He thought about Aisha. Her long lustrous hair. Her sparkly eyes. Her electric smile. Her attractive neck. Her beautiful face. He realised what she always wanted him to realise. “I’m sorry Aisha and this time, I mean it!”
